Simple. That’s what life is like when you live in a small town. It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you’re on. When Bench Creek Brewing and Black Bridge Brewery got together, we thought that good beer is exactly that. Good beer. You can’t contain an idea that’s bigger than where you live, and you can’t put a border around great taste. It shouldn’t be contained, it should be celebrated! We also thought that we’re both developing a reputation as hop forward-thinking breweries, so, why not give them something they don’t expect. A sour beer. Okay, so we’re not completely out of our element here, there’s still a generous amount of tropical and fruity hops, whirlpooled and dry-hopped to complement the lactic. This beer is kettle soured to get a clean tartness and cleanse the palate, with light maltiness for just enough character. In this collaboration, we celebrate our differences and the things we hold in common.
